About Craft-Tee
Hi there!
My name is Cristina D'Cruz (nickname Tee!) and welcome to my website.
I live in West Yorkshire, in the UK, with my husband and children.
I've always loved being creative. Whether it be hand/machine sewing, crocheting or jewellery making, however I can purge the ideas from my head into an actual physical things, makes me happy. I create original and one of a kind items, I don't follow patterns or duplicate anything I make, so you can be sure that whatever you may purchase, it will be unique to you. Unfortunately I don't create requests, the only things I have for sale are the projects that have already been created.
Crochet Information...
I will always put what an item is made from in its description.
Sometimes my dolls have a skeleton constructed of pipe cleaners or wire to support their shape and could be decorated with beads or buttons. These things will obviously make them less child-friendly and more aimed at collectables. All Amigurumi or soft items are stuffed with polyester pillow stuffing. If you are unsure about anything, please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. As much as I aim to make all my 'child-friendly' creations safe and secure, they have NOT been CE tested.
Jewellery Information...
I will always put what an item is made from in its description.
Pendants and Rings
The jewellery wire I use is:
Eurowire - Classic Jewellery Wire - Silver Plated Copper Wire (Tarnish Resistant)
Its a cheaper alternative to Sterling Silver and if taken care of (keeping away from perfume and harsh products) it should last a long time. Tarnish Resistant Silver Plated wire has a tarnish resistant coating that slows down the process.
Bracelets
My Semi-Precious Stone/Gem bracelets are strung together with Beadalon Acrylic Coated Stainless Steel wire and the fixings (clasps, rings and crimps) are made of sterling silver. You'll find that you may see a 'little' of the wire in between the stones. This is so that the bracelet hangs nicely as it wraps around your wrist. Too tight and it would become too stiff and the bracelet would strain and possibly break.
The slider bracelets are made from Chinese Knotting Nylon Cord.
